This restaurant is fantastic, located in a weird spot, but good. We've eaten here many times and it never disappoints. On our last visit i had the salmon and my husband had chicken piccitia, yum. Our server was very attentive and food was served quickly. I highly recommend!

Went there on a Tuesday night, and got the family meal and two alcohol drinks and one soft drink. $54 for two topping pizza, four meatballs with pasta, the cheesiest cheese bread, and an antipasto salad. It was incredible. We will be back. I'd post pics of food, but... we ate it too quickly. Yum yum.

Grotto is a cool little Italian/pizza spot tucked away off Van Horn across from Trenton Engine. I was pleasantly surprised by the cozy decor inside - very inviting. It is super quaint, with only 8 tables making up the establishment, with 13 seats at the bar. The booths are large enough to fit bigger parties, if you want to bring the whole family. The menu offers family style options, so this is a great idea if you don't want to cook for the night! We started with a cheese bread- cooked to perfection! The brick oven baked pizza is our favorite, and the Grotto delivered! I ordered up the 14" cheese pizza- enough to fill me up & take the rest home for the kids. (They loved it) We also tasted the meatballs- reminded us of Grandpa's! *I wanted to note about the darkness of the pizza- I've noticed a lot of complaints on here. The pizza is Brick fired! It's not oven baked! This is one of the reasons WHY we love the brick fired pizza. Sometimes it's a little dark and the crust may have some dark spots. It's the characteristics of making that style. If you choose to have an evenly cooked pie- choose an oven baked. The staff at the Grotto is friendly. The owner runs out of the kitchen and seats people, chats with the tables- makes you feel like family. We will be back to try the Italian dishes. The items on the menu look super authentic!
